Add your careers page to your website

Your DriverLanding careers page has your live job openings, a quick-apply form and the full Tenstreet application. On WordPress, our plugin puts all of it on your own site in about 5 minutes: install it, enter your company ID, publish. No code, and nothing to maintain afterwards.

Want a few jobs on your home page too? See Show a few jobs on your home page.

Option 1: Install the WordPress plugin

About 5 minutes, and you only do it once. Your jobs, quick-apply form and application appear on a page of yourdomain.com, under your own header and menu. All you need is an Administrator login to your WordPress site.

Nothing to maintain afterwards. Jobs update themselves from your applicant tracking system, and the plugin keeps itself up to date. If you've been updating a job list by hand, this replaces it.

Step 1: Install the plugin about 1 minute

Download the plugin (.zip)

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins › Add New Plugin and click Upload Plugin.
  2. Choose the driverlanding-careers.zip file you downloaded (don't unzip it), then Install Now and Activate.

Step 2: Enter your company ID 30 seconds

Go to Settings › DriverLanding, enter your company ID and click Save Changes:

Company ID YOUR-ID

Your DriverLanding contact will send you your company ID.

The status panel then shows your company name and how many positions are open, so you know it's connected.

Step 3: Create your careers page one click

Still in Settings › DriverLanding, click Create a careers page. It opens a new page with everything already in place. Click Publish.

Rather add it to a page you already have?

Block editor:

  1. Edit the page (for example your jobs page) and click + where the jobs should appear.
  2. Search for DriverLanding Careers and add it. The editor shows a placeholder; the real form and jobs appear on the live page.
  3. Click Update.

Elementor, Divi or the classic editor: add a Shortcode widget/module (or paste into the classic editor) with:

[driverlanding_careers]
Custom-built theme (the page's content isn't editable in the editor)

Send this page to your web developer. For them: after activating the plugin, render the shortcode in the page's template where the job list should appear, then choose that page under Settings › DriverLanding › Careers page, so the per-job SEO and sitemap attach to it.

<?php echo do_shortcode('[driverlanding_careers]'); ?>

Step 4: Add it to your menu 1 minute

  1. Open the new page. You should see your quick-apply form, then Job Openings with your live jobs.
  2. Go to Appearance › Menus (newer block themes: Appearance › Editor › Navigation), add the page to your main menu and save. If your menu already links to a driverlanding.com careers page, point that link at this page instead.

That's it. You're live. Two optional finishing touches:

What the plugin does for you

Something not look right?
What you seeWhat it means
No Upload Plugin buttonYour account isn't an Administrator, or your plan doesn't allow plugins (e.g. some WordPress.com plans). Ask your site admin, or use Option 2 below.
"Add your DriverLanding company ID" on the pageStep 2 isn't saved yet. Only logged-in admins see this message.
Nothing appearsCheck the page is published, then clear your caching plugin's cache once.
The form or jobs look squeezed, or there's a big gap or banner above themIn Settings › DriverLanding › Display, keep Full width, Remove the theme's spacing and Hide the page title and header image ticked (they are by default). Anything else: ask us and we'll adjust the styling from our side (no login to your site needed), or add a rule under Custom CSS yourself. Both apply to the careers page only, and yours takes precedence.
Can't install plugins? Paste this code instead

Put it in a Custom HTML block (or Elementor's HTML widget) where the jobs should appear, from an Administrator account. You get the form and jobs, without the per-job pages, sitemap or long-term driver memory.

<div id="dl-embed-root" data-carrier="YOUR-ID"></div>
<script src="https://www.driverlanding.com/lz/core/core-embed.js" data-carrier="YOUR-ID"></script>

Replace YOUR-ID (twice) with your company number.

Option 2: Link to your careers page

Not on WordPress, or want something live in the next two minutes? Link your menu to your careers page, hosted by DriverLanding. Nothing to install.

This is your careers page. Open it to see what drivers will see:

Your link https://www.driverlanding.com/lz/YOUR-ID/

Your DriverLanding contact will send you the exact link (YOUR-ID is your company number).

Squarespace

  1. In the editor, open Pages and click + next to your main navigation.
  2. Choose Link, name it Careers or Drive With Us, and paste your link.
  3. Leave Open in new tab off, so drivers can use the back button to return to your site. Save.

Already have a Careers page? You can keep it and point its Apply buttons at your link (click the button › edit › paste the link). Or retire it: disable the old page, then go to Settings › Developer tools › URL mappings and add this line, so old links and Google results go to the new page:

URL mapping /careers -> https://www.driverlanding.com/lz/YOUR-ID/ 301

WordPress

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance › Menus and select your main menu. (Newer block themes: Appearance › Editor › Navigation.)
  2. Open Custom Links, paste your link as the URL, enter Available Jobs or Careers as the Link Text, and click Add to Menu.
  3. Drag it where you want it, leave Open link in a new tab unticked (under Screen Options), and click Save Menu.

Already have a jobs page? Replace its menu item with the new link, and point its Apply buttons at your link too. To send old links and Google results to the new page, add a 301 redirect from the old page's address to your link, using a redirect plugin such as Redirection (Tools › Redirection) or your web host's redirect settings.

Wix and other builders

Add a menu item or button that links to your careers page, set to open in the same tab.

What drivers will see

Jobs update automatically from your applicant tracking system, and branding follows your DriverLanding account. There's nothing to maintain on your side.

Option 3: Your own careers address

Same page, same jobs, but at careers.yourdomain.com instead of a driverlanding.com address. Drivers stay on your web address, and your job listings count toward your site in Google.

No need to do this yet. We'll let you know when to start. Your Option 2 link keeps working the whole time, and switching over is a single link change.

On WordPress? You don't need this: Option 1 puts the careers page on your own site without touching DNS.

Show the full install steps

Step 1: Add one DNS record

This is the only technical step. Add this record wherever your domain's DNS is managed:

Type CNAME
Host / Name careers
Value / Data driverlanding.com
TTL Default (or 300)

Use a DNS record, not "forwarding". Squarespace and most registrars also offer Domain Forwarding or Redirect rules. Don't use those here: they send drivers away to a different web address instead of keeping them on careers.yourdomain.com.

Where is my DNS managed?

Usually wherever you bought the domain, but not always. If you're not sure, ask whoever manages your website or email. Pick your provider below for exact clicks:

Squarespace (domain bought through or managed by Squarespace)
  1. Open your Squarespace domains dashboard and click yourdomain.com.
  2. Click DNS, scroll to Custom records, and click Add record.
  3. Set Type to CNAME, Host to careers, and Data to driverlanding.com.
  4. Click Save. You may be asked to confirm your password.

If the DNS page says your domain uses third-party nameservers, Squarespace doesn't manage your DNS. Use the section below that matches those nameservers instead.

Amazon Route 53 (nameservers look like ns-123.awsdns-45.com)
  1. Sign in to the AWS console and open Route 53 › Hosted zones.
  2. Click yourdomain.com, then Create record.
  3. Record name: careers  ·  Record type: CNAME  ·  Value: driverlanding.com  ·  TTL: 300.
  4. Leave routing policy on Simple routing and click Create records.

Route 53 is often run by a parent company's IT team. Forwarding them this page is enough; the record above is everything they need.

GoDaddy, Namecheap and other registrars
  1. Sign in where the domain is registered and find DNS, DNS Records or Advanced DNS for yourdomain.com.
  2. Add a new record: Type CNAME, Host/Name careers, Value/Points to driverlanding.com.
  3. Save.

Some providers want the full name (careers.yourdomain.com) in the Host field. If yours shows the domain after the box, just careers is right.

Cloudflare
  1. Open yourdomain.com › DNS › Records › Add record.
  2. Type CNAME, Name careers, Target driverlanding.com.
  3. Set Proxy status to DNS only (grey cloud), then Save. The orange-cloud proxy stops us from issuing your security certificate.

Step 2: Let us know it's in

Reply to your DriverLanding contact once the record is saved. We'll switch on your page and its security certificate (the padlock). This usually takes a few hours once the record has spread across the internet, and occasionally up to 48 hours.

Please wait for our go-ahead before linking to it. Until the certificate is issued, visitors may see a "not secure" warning.

Step 3: Switch your link over

Once we confirm it's live, change your Careers link (and the URL mapping, if you added one) from your Option 2 link to https://careers.yourdomain.com. Everything else stays the same.

Troubleshooting the subdomain

What you seeWhat it means
"Site can't be reached" / "server not found"The DNS record hasn't spread yet, or has a typo. Double-check the three values above; allow up to 48 hours.
"Your connection is not private"DNS is working, and we're still issuing your certificate. Give it a few hours; we'll confirm when it's done.
DriverLanding's own website, or a plain "Not found." pageThe address reached us, but we haven't switched your page on yet. Let your DriverLanding contact know.
Your main site or email stopped workingAn existing record was edited instead of a new one being added. Undo that change; this setup only ever adds the one careers record.

Show a few jobs on your home page

Put your openings in front of drivers before they go looking: a short row of job cards on your home page (or any page), showing the jobs closest to each visitor. Each card's Apply button opens your careers page with that job's application ready. The cards update themselves along with your careers page.

WordPress with the DriverLanding Careers plugin

Block editor
  1. Edit your home page and click + where the jobs should appear.
  2. Search for DriverLanding Job Cards and add it. To show more or fewer than 3 jobs, change Number of jobs in the block settings on the right.
  3. Click Update. The editor shows a placeholder; the cards appear on the live page.
Elementor, Divi, the classic editor or a custom theme

Add a Shortcode widget/module (or paste into the classic editor) with the line below. Change 3 to show more or fewer jobs. A custom theme renders it with <?php echo do_shortcode('[driverlanding_jobs limit="3"]'); ?>.

[driverlanding_jobs limit="3"]

Don't see the block? It needs plugin version 1.5.0 or later. Check the version under Plugins › Installed Plugins, and update it there if it's older.

Any other site

Paste this where the jobs should appear (Squarespace: a Code block; Wix: Embed Code › Embed HTML; WordPress without our plugin: a Custom HTML block):

<iframe src="https://www.driverlanding.com/jobportal/index.php?carrier=YOUR-ID&view=cardonly&limit=3"
        style="width:100%; height:1440px; border:0;" title="Open driving jobs"></iframe>
<script src="https://www.driverlanding.com/jobportal/core/iframe-resize.js" async></script>

Track applications in your own analytics

Your careers page reports three events to Google Tag Manager on your site (and as browser events for other tools). Nothing personal is included, only the job's ID.

EventWhen
dl_apply_clickA driver clicks Apply on a job
dl_lead_submitA driver sends the quick-apply form
dl_application_startA driver continues to the full application

In Tag Manager, create a Custom Event trigger with the event name, then send it to Google Analytics 4 as a conversion. dl_job_id is available as a Data Layer Variable.

Questions? Email drew@driverlanding.com with your domain name (and a screenshot of your DNS records if it's about your own careers address).
